Seatable UK

Seatable were presented with a task to create several retail areas of the University into desirable eating, socialising and meeting space for staff students and visitors. Each area needed to be different to reflect the diversity of each of the retail outlets. A bar area was created using a mixture of wooden chairs and stools combined with soft seating.  Another area was to facilitate multi use with folding tables combined with designer transparent chairs. Furniture in another area was to reflect a high street style coffee bar with a “bubble” theme prevalent which was incorporated into the chairs, space dividing screens and wall art. All areas have been a success and Seatable were asked to create an area for outdoor use.

The school had a clear brief of how they wanted the dining room to be. Not institutional, flexible, fun, colourful, hard wearing and practical. Seatable UK working with the headteache and staff from the City council to achieve their brief within a tight budget.

Colourful yellow “Discover chairs were used which were a great option for this primnary school as the chairs were exactly the right height for the children but taller chairs in exactly the same design and colour were available for teachers and older students. A “Boomerang” feature table was the centerepiece for the room with a different kind of stool to contrast the different colour boomerang tops. Flip top tables were used across half of the area so the room could be convereted quickly and easily for other activities. The use of Seatable “bubble” queue screens were also utilised to form a safe strong but  funky system to allow the children to queue safely for their lunch. D-ended tables were also used to create a high street cafe feel at the other end of the dining room.

Waterfields is a large Bakery with scores of shops throughout the North West of England

Seatable worked closely with Waterfiled to help create their first restaurant within one of their outlets.  A selection of elegant upholstered chairs with dark wood surrounds and intimidate tables created a cosy area where customers could relax and enjoy their coffee and delicious pastries.

Our vision of turning an old barn into a tea room came to fruition with the help and guidance from Seatable UK Ltd.

We searched the internet for a company to supply the furniture and Seatable surpassed our expectation. 

From the very beginning Seatable were instrumental in helping us with the spatial design of the area, colour schemes, fabric styles and furniture options.

Our customers and staff love the warm and inviting atmosphere that has been created and I would not hesitate in recommending Seatable.

The transformation that has occurred in this room is incredible. The school were overjoyed with it and we have won many more jobs in the area on the back of this installation.

I would highly recommend Seatable – the whole team were a pleasure to work with.  The sales team were friendly, pragmatic and responsive to feedback from the initial meet through to finalisation of design proposals, the logistics team kept us informed of plans and the installation team were professional and cheerful – despite having been stuck in traffic jams all day.    

Shelley college is a large college situated near Huddersfield and has in excess of over 1200 students. The old dining area was practical but uninspiring and Seatable were asked to create a space suitable for a high volume of students and staff alike but that had the “wow” factor to create a n inspirational dining room experience that all diners would be proud of and want to use. There were concerns from the school about having too many individual chairs and tables because of the cleaning aspect and manual handling issues.  However the school didn’t want rows and rows of tables. Seatable UK worked closely with the college and the end result was a mixture of Seatable UK’s “WOW” dining and bench sets combined with some round pedestal base tables and to set the scene a cluster of poseur bars with wooden stools. The result was a great user space with colour and catering for large friend groups as well as smaller ergonomic tables and chairs

Seatable delivered our new 6th form area’ on time in full and we are delighted with the end result.

We found Seatable from a search on the web and looked at the case studies that Seatable had already undertaken.  We were impressed by this and contacted Seatable to meet to discuss our requirements.

We received an attentive service, along with design and colour guidance which made the process easier and smoother.  Samples were available so that we could see and feel each product, this was great as it gave us a really good idea on how the final look would be.  The delivery and installation team were very helpful and flexible working with us to achieve the agreed installation deadline. 

Seatable met the brief that was given and we now have a new 6th form area that creates a café/bistro mood, that looks great and meets the capacity that is needed.  It is very practical for cleaning and maintaining and positive comments from students are:

Reccomendation from a friend. Seatable embraced the brief of creating a warm inviting but contemporary environment.  A number of plans were submitted  to make sure that all the rooms could be used to their maximum potential without feeling overcrowded. There was requirement to accommodate customers popping in for a coffee , customers wanting to stay for lunch and also areas that could be used for meetings and private parties. The result was an interior design sympathetic to the building with industrial retro style steel stools against real Oak top breakfast bars, opulent banquette seating in gold leather and real wood French style chairs with matching tables.   

This was a very different job as this dining room started off as 3 separate rooms. During the summer holidays the school had the rooms knocked through to form 1 complete dining room. Because the dining facilities are also used by a special school, we had to ensure an area of tables were suitable for disabled access. We had various meetings with the school to go through different options and eventually decided on pedestal tables. These were ideal as they could accommodate chairs and wheelchairs and would not have any table legs causing any obstruction. They also blended in well with the rest of the dining room where installed smaller pedestal tables and our Hannah Lite units. We used our popular smile chair for seating in the 2 striking colours of green and purple. The school had the paintwork matched to these colours which really finished off the look of the room. The school were absolutely delighted with the installation and the area is now used for meetings as well as dining now. It has become a room where that the school are proud to show off.

We have been working with Seatable for the last 3 years on various installations for our staff restaurants.  The covers in a typical restaurant is 200 covers.

Seatable were key in helping us with the creative design aspects of our latest facility, providing consultation services and  3D plans that incorporated colour schemes , ‘feature’ walls and product visuals.

Samples of the actual products and fabrics were provided, this helped to give us a tactile feel to the design and material, this also enabled us to test the comfort, strength and stability.  Typically the seating capacity is around 200 covers.

Seatable delivered and installed the products within the lead time and budget agreed and the new environment has created a great dining experience for all the staff, in which morale has considerably improved.

Manchester Velodrome is the UK’s home of Cycling and BMX

Seatable UK worked closely with designers from the City council and management team from the Velodrome.

The result is a modern , eye catching main dining area, alfresco space and bespoke waiting

Units for the main “avenue” .

Thereis a complimentary mix of soft seating, dining tables and chairs plus waste disposal units and contemporary soft seating and coffee tables. The space is used by staff , sports personalities and the general public.

Working with one of the UK’s favorite catering provider

Seatable UK were asked to look at ways of improving the colleges coffee shop into a relaxing and inviting area. The use of coffee Bean space dividing screens complimenting a range dark wood and chrome tables and chairs along with tub chairs and upholstered sofas ensured that a welcoming environment was created without compromising on the practical requirements demanded by the customer in this large college.

Seatable worked closely to try and create a happy balance of achieving the number of seats but achieving an environment that would be refreshing and unique. Combining  group dining table and bench sets with poiseur bars and tables was achieved within the budget and an institutional dining room has been converted into a fun and enjoyable dining experience whilst retaining and easy to manage and clean space. The children and staff are delighted with the space and other schools have adopted a similar format based on this project
